The services
SEO, AEO and GEO
39.5→8.8average Google position, Jan to Mar 202644→107quarterly Google clicks, Q2 to Q3 202654%of clicks from comparison pages, Q3 2026- Defined a comparison-led search strategy for dividend investors and structured the site around ticker, comparison, tool and education page types
- Owned the full technical SEO remediation end to end: broken-page and breadcrumb fixes, a dynamic sitemap, canonical, hreflang and trailing-slash corrections, crawl rules and a reusable metadata framework
- Built and rebuilt the comparison-page system investors use to choose between ETFs, shipping a tiered safety filter on top of it
- Rebuilt the ticker-detail page into a scored, cited-worthy analysis page: an 8-card scorecard, risk-tier coloring and a mobile-first chart

Web design and development
5.6%NAV erosion calculator click-through rate- Redesigned and rebuilt the UI across the site for consistency, a site-wide pass across dozens of files in a single day
- Rebuilt the homepage hero and the portfolio-builder flow to move a visitor from a ticker search to building a portfolio
- Rebuilt the Ticker Lookup Tool and the Portfolio Intelligence Hub, including the NAV erosion calculator

Content strategy and production
40posts published to Instagram- Planned DivAgent's first content calendar across blog, X, Instagram and Facebook, setting the content mix before anything went live
- Developed DivAgent's editorial framework and risk classification system, establishing the analytical lens the product's ticker pages were later built around
- Owned DivAgent's full social presence end to end: produced, scheduled and published every post across three platforms on a weekly cadence, from launch through early March 2026
- Built DivAgent's AI-driven image and video production systems: a template pipeline generating ETF performance reports, educational carousels and ticker comparisons, and a JSON-driven template rendering ticker-pair comparison videos automatically
- Ran a three-vendor evaluation for scaling AI video production, testing real output from each before committing to one platform on cost and quality

Marketing analytics and optimization
~55%of sitemap URLs indexed by Google- Set up Google Tag Manager and event tracking across the full path from a ticker search to the portfolio builder, a funnel with zero tracking before
- Ran a full index-coverage audit via Google's URL Inspection API across all 2,442 sitemap URLs, sampling up to 30 per page type
- Used the audit to pinpoint exactly which of the site's 8 page types were underindexed, turning a guess into an ordered list of what to fix first

The challenge
DivAgent is a Renn Labs venture: a dividend investing platform built as two apps, a portfolio tracker for retail investors and a learn and research site, on a shared Supabase backend, serving retirees, early-retirement savers and other income investors who build around dividend-paying ETFs and stocks.
The founder built it alone over the 2025 holidays and shipped it live in early January 2026 with no SEO or marketing system behind it: no content calendar, no social presence, broken pages, and a sitemap Google had barely started crawling.
Ryan Nguyen, Renn Labs' Chief of Staff, handed me the venture on 5 January 2026. I started as its marketing operator and within three weeks was fixing the site directly in its own codebase, since the founder needed engineering support as much as marketing.
Average Google position sat at 39.5 when I started the SEO sprint in late January, invisible past page four, and there was no page for the thing investors actually do: weigh one ETF against another before choosing.
Within two months, average position moved to 8.8 and quarterly Google clicks grew from 44 to 107. Not everything held: about 55% of the site's 2,442 sitemap URLs are indexed by Google today, unevenly split across its page types.
Where it started
No marketing system at all
DivAgent launched with no content calendar, no social presence and nobody posting.
A site Google hadn't indexed yet
Several pages 404'd, the sitemap had bugs, and the site sat on page four of Google, effectively invisible.
No page for the thing investors actually do
Dividend investors compare ETFs before they choose one, and the site had no comparison page for that, even though it already had the ticker data to support it.
One person covering both marketing and engineering
Once I started fixing bugs directly in the codebase, every channel ran through one person, with no code review on any of it.

My approach
I treated this as one combined SEO and engineering sprint, not a plan handed off for someone else to build. Dividend investors compare ETFs before they choose one, so the site needed a real comparison-page system, and the ticker-detail pages needed to read as analysis worth citing, not a data dump. I got GitHub, Vercel and Supabase access on 22 January and started shipping fixes straight into the codebase.
Alongside the search work, I owned a site-wide UI pass end to end: a homepage and portfolio-builder-flow rebuild, plus new tools pages, including a NAV erosion calculator that now earns well above the site's average click-through.
I also wired up DivAgent's first funnel tracking and ran an index-coverage audit across every page type the site generates, turning a guess about what to fix next into an ordered list.
Separately, I built DivAgent's first content calendar and editorial framework, then owned its social presence end to end: an AI-driven image pipeline and a video template that generated every post, run on a weekly cadence across all three channels.
- Fixed the site's broken pages, rebuilt the breadcrumb structure and the sitemap
- Built the comparison-page system and rebuilt the ticker-detail page as cited-worthy analysis
- Redesigned the UI for consistency and rebuilt the homepage, portfolio-builder flow and tools pages
- Wired up funnel tracking and ran a full index-coverage audit
- Built the first content calendar, editorial framework and an AI-driven image pipeline for social
- Built an automated video template and evaluated AI video vendors
My tool stack
I shipped the SEO sprint directly in Vercel and Supabase, measured it in Google Search Console and Semrush, and built the content and image launch in Canva, with HeyGen evaluated for video.

The impact
The SEO sprint carried the clearest result. The comparison-led strategy worked exactly as intended: pages built specifically for search now drive the overwhelming majority of DivAgent's organic traffic, the same pattern already proven on R3, working again on a second site in a different industry. That's a real before-and-after tied to a dated sprint, not a controlled test: SEO results carry a normal lag, so I can't point to one single week and call it the turn.
The site rebuild and the measurement work are harder to put one number on, but both left something real behind. One of the rebuilt tools pages, the NAV erosion calculator, now earns meaningfully more attention in search than the rest of the site, proof that a well-built utility converts even without a content push behind it. And the index-coverage audit replaced a guess about what to fix next with an ordered list: the templates built for search index well, the ones built for depth mostly don't. That's a real gap the sprint didn't close.
The content, social and AI production side launched DivAgent's first presence from nothing: a calendar, an editorial framework, a reusable AI-driven image pipeline, a JSON-driven video system, and the first live posts across blog, X, Instagram and Facebook. The system proved itself on output, real, varied content shipped on schedule week after week, produced through the pipeline rather than built by hand one post at a time. Reach never followed the production, though, a real distribution gap, not a content one. I could not find an active, discoverable DivAgent presence on X or Facebook to compare against.
The editorial framework outlived the post it launched in. The 5-Tier Risk Spectrum, introduced in DivAgent's debut piece, became the same risk-tier classification the ticker-detail rebuild used for its scorecards two weeks later: a real line from an idea in a blog post to a feature in the product.
- Average Google position moved from the fourth page to the first, within two months of the sprint
- Comparison pages earning the overwhelming majority of search clicks, the same pattern proven on R3
- A NAV erosion calculator earning well above the site's average search click-through rate
- A funnel with its first tracking, and an index-coverage audit naming exactly what to fix next
- DivAgent's first real content and social presence, generated through a working production system
- A named, honest distribution gap left for the next phase, not hidden
